Josalyn Moran is a Literary Agent at Screenland Literary Agency, where she represents authors, illustrators, and creative projects across children's publishing and related media.
She brings more than 30 years of experience across editorial, publishing, sales, marketing, business development, and children's book strategy, giving her a broad perspective on how projects move from concept to audience. Her background includes work with Scholastic, Golden Books, North-South Books, Barnes & Noble, Chronicle Books, Albert Whitman & Company, Quarto Publishing Group, and Welbeck Publishing Group.
Josalyn is known for her collaborative approach and for creating opportunities that bring authors, books, and children together in meaningful ways, often extending beyond the page through educational, literacy, and industry partnerships. She is particularly drawn to projects that support children’s education, regularly attending educational and literary conferences to stay current with emerging trends.
In addition to her agency work, Josalyn has been actively involved in industry organizations throughout her career. She served as Interim Executive Director of The Children's Book Council and was a member of the organization's inaugural Board of Directors. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for The Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.
