Paula Allen is the founder and principal agent of Screenland Literary Associates, which she established in 2005 to represent authors and intellectual property across publishing and media. She brings more than three decades of experience leading and building publishing businesses at a global scale.
Over the course of her career, Paula has held senior leadership roles at companies including Barnes & Noble, Warner Bros., and Nickelodeon. She oversaw worldwide publishing and licensing programs, developed international markets, and managed large-scale creative and commercial initiatives that generated multi-million-dollar licensing and publishing revenue. Her work spans book publishing, consumer products, and cross-platform intellectual property development, with particular strength in children’s publishing and character-driven IP.
At Screenland, Paula leads both literary representation and consulting engagements, working with authors, illustrators, and media companies to develop, position, and protect their work. Her approach is grounded in a deep understanding of the publishing landscape, from contract negotiation and rights management to long-term brand and portfolio development.
